Taxi-booking app Easy Taxi, which launched here in Dec 2013, has closed abruptly citing tight competition. According to The Straits Times, an Easy Taxi spokesman has said that the company was scaling down operations in the region and that “highly funded competition and market dynamics have led them to centre our efforts on selected core markets in Latin America, Middle East and Africa”.
While this means one less cab-booking option in town, we have our hands full with Comfort, GrabTaxi and Uber.
