In time for CNY, Uber offers lion dances on demand

Just in time for CNY, rideshare app Uber is offering “lion dance on demand” services in four Asian cities, including Singapore. On Wednesday 29 January, users in Singapore who open up the Uber app can, according to regional GM Mike Brown, “request a lion dance troupe to arrive at [their] home or workplace within minutes”. Which, you know, is one of life’s great problems solved.

The service costs $50 (debited from your Uber account), is available from 9am-6pm, and the lion dance itself will last 20 minutes. Find out more at http://blog.uber.com/tag/liondance/

And look out for a special issue of I-S Magazine all about life-changing apps like Uber in February.
