This new car-sharing subscription service is a cool, modern mode of transportation

Car-sharing is hardly a novel idea, but when it is offered as a subscription service, that’s where things get interesting.

Consider the new wallet-friendly car subscription plan by Tribecar, where users can opt in at a mere $88 (U.P. S$128) per month, and access a range of vehicles—from motorcycles to sedans and even SUVs.

To put this in perspective, the total cost of renting is cheaper than the cost of an adult concession pass for bus and MRT. And for the environmentalist drivers, the company has Teslas coming to you in the near future.

Furthermore, subscribers are eligible for two free hours of bookings daily, between midnight on Monday to 5pm on Friday. Not to mention, with the option of booking their vehicle of choice up to two hours in advance—transport won’t be as erratic as once thought. Gone are the days of waiting 20mins for a bus if you missed an earlier one.

But what makes Tribecar stand out most, in our opinion, is its support for P-plate drivers. No longer will they have to wait two years longer to steer a wheel, or pay for additional charges because of their (lack of) road experience.
