Star Wars fans, rejoice! The wait for another Star Wars film will be over in less than four days. Disney has really been ramping up hype around Rogue One in the last couple of weeks, leading up to the world premiere that took place last weekend at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. But if you can’t wait to see Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones) and the rest of the rebels try to steal the plans to the Death Star (we’re so excited to see Darth Vader again) before the rest of Singapore does, you can, thanks to Uber.
The best part? It’s free, and only takes a mere few clicks here and there. Similar to the #UberPuppies initiative that took place last Friday, all you need to do is to open the Uber app and between 5pm-9pm on Dec 14 (make sure you set an alarm for this) and tap on the Rogue One pop-up and the bottom of the app and request a “Movie Screening on Demand“. If there’s an availability, an UberExec car will come and pick you and a friend from wherever you are and send you straight to The Cathay Cineplex, where you’ll get to catch Rogue One at The Platinum Suites a day before the official release date (food, drinks and tickets are on the house).
On top of the movie screening, you can also catch never seen before behind-the-sceens footage of the film when you opt to “join forces with Uber” for the Rogue One experience between 9pm-11pm today. The car icons on the map will then turn into iconic Star Wars ships like the X-Wing or the AT-AT walker, and you’ll be able to watch the content while you’re on your ride. The second part will be released on Friday.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theatres on Dec 15. For more information, click here.
