This is what the rail corridor may look like in the future

Japanese firm Nikken Sekkei and local landscape firm Tierra Design (the people who designed the quirky and green Parkroyal on Pickering) has won the bid to collaborate with the URA in developing the rail corridor.

You can now check out the winning proposal at The URA Centre along Maxwell Road through Nov 28, and also give feedback on design improvements. But for those too lazy to make their way down, they can click here to have their say.

In the meantime, here are some cool places to check out:

This place will become a Community Cave, with a rock-climbing wall and yoga decks

3. The former Bukit Timah Railway Station

Hipsters will like the bicycle station and a cafe. It may also serve as a place for the Green Corridor Run.

There will be a forest walk and observation tower to get close to nature.

5. Mandai River at the Kranji area (The Northern Nexus)

There are more cycling options here, and room for kayaking, too.

The 24km rail corridor has 122 entry points and 21 platforms—stay tuned other bright ideas will probably come up after screening through all the feedback.
