Ever heard of swim painting? No? Neither have we. But that’s about to change as the world’s only swim painter, Italian Alberto Cristini, who has created numerous paintings while swimming in the seas of Alcatraz (see picture), the New York Bay and the Strait of Messina, will take on the seas of nearby Terkukor Island, while completing a painting in less than two hours on Aug 24. It’ll be interesting to see what the guy will come up with (it’s hard enough to paint while you’re doing absolutely nothing; imagine this!), as the latest work will also be exhibited alongside his previous creations on Aug 24-25, 10am-5pm at ONEº15 Marina Club. Highlights include bronze sculptures inspired by water as well as landscape and flower-themed water and oil paintings. This should be interesting.
