Looks like the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station might have a working train again

A popular site for cool art markets and exhibitions (though closed the rest of the year), Tanjong Pagar Railway Station will be shutting its doors on Dec 25 this year due to the construction of Cantonment station along the new Circle Line.

When it reopens in 2025, you can expect parts of the old railway station to be integrated with the new MRT station—its iconic canopy structures will be dismantled and fully restored, the first 80m of each platform will remain untouched and the new structure will be built under the former railway station’s platform area. There are also plans for Cantonment station to be used as a multi-functional community building for 20 years after its completion, with it being highly accessible to the Rail Corridor.

The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station will still be open during public holidays until Christmas Day. Visit before it’s changed forever. More details here
