While I was wandering around my hood over the weekend, I made a pleasant, new discovery, Hummerstons (#02-14 Robertson Walk, 11 Unity St., 6737-8863/8428-1620). Fine, so it's not even remotely related to a hummer, but on a purely superficial note, it certainly looks promising. The two-week-old eatery features casual American fare and is currently only open for dinner, Tue-Sun, 6pm-midnight.
