Star Wars fans rejoice—the now iconic Star Wars Run is back for a second edition this May. Presented by The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia and local race organizer Esprimo, the themed night run returns May 5, in conjunction with the Star Wars festival happening on May the 4th. Last year’s inaugural event saw over 15,000 participants attending. The 2018 race will take runners around the F1 Pit Building and Marina Bay area, in two routes creatively conceptualized just for fans. For both the 10km Competitive and 5.4km Non-Competitive categories, choose to join the Rebellion on the Light side, or follow Daddy Darth Vader over on the Dark side. Either way, both routes will feature engagement zones with music, light projections, and the ever-important photo ops.
Best of all, the 2018 race pack comes laden with limited edition Star Wars merchandise that include tees, tote bags, and picnic mats. Finishers will also receive a commemorative medal unique to their category and a finisher T-shirt. Loyal Runners who were part of last year’s run (ie. Diehard Star Wars fans) and early sign-ups will receive a special registration price (from $65) from now till Mar 14.
