Whether or not you’re on the Avengers hype train, the colossal Infinity War in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)—based on the 1992 six-issue comic book series—is finally happening in April. And Marvel Studios is making it extra special for fans in Singapore, with three of the cast members—namely Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man/Tony Stark), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange/Stephen Strange), and Karen Gillan (Nebula)—and director Joe Russo making an appearance at Marina Bay Sands on Apr 16.
The best part? You won’t have to pay a single cent to catch a glimpse of the stars at this fan event, nor do you have to sign up or partake in a contest. This red carpet-style soiree will be purely on a first-come-first-served basis. Full details like the exact venue and time will be released next month on Apr 2 at 12pm on the event microsite.
It’s not the first time Marvel Studios has brought their film stars to Singapore—the last fan event was just merely two years ago, when they flew in Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Russo for a blue carpet event promoting Captain America: Civil War. If that’s anything to go by, you can expect snaking queues followed by a rush to the barricades for a chance to take a selfie and screaming. Lots of screaming.
If you’re late to the party and want to watch the films leading up to Avengers: Infinity War, which is slated to open in Singapore on Apr 25, just know that there are a total of 18 to catch up on, broken up into three different phrases of the MCU. Depending on how you want to experience it, you can either watch it chronologically and start with 2008’s Iron Man, or follow Screen Rant‘s order which begins with the fifth movie, Captain America: The First Avenger. Your call.
