Catch free outdoor screenings and award-winning movies at the German Film Festival 2019

With 2019 marking the 30th year since the fall of the Berlin wall, the 23rd German FIlm Festival 2019 in Singapore is set to be a special one. To celebrate the anniversary of the country’s reunification, the foreign film festival will return from Oct 24-Nov 10 with productions from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland; in addition to featuring six German films about the history of Berlin.

To further encourage locals to enjoy the European flicks, free outdoor film screenings will also be held at various venues all across our sunny island, from the Singapore Botanic Gardens to Our Tampines Hub.

Opening the festival is All About Me, a drama based on the life of well-loved German comedian Hape Kerkeling. And although the opening event at Marina One is by invitation only, you’ll still be able to catch the movie at the German European School Singapore on Oct 30 for free.
