We have an unending love for anime because it never fails to tug at our heartstrings. Not to mention, anime can be exceptionally real and relatable despite being an animation. And as if we don’t already have enough to catch up on, meWATCH’s Animax channel is piling up our watchlist with four more thrilling animes to watch this October—just in time for a spooky season.
The Detective Is Already Dead
The Detective Is Already Dead is centered around Kimihiko Kimizuka, a high school student, and his knack of “finding trouble” in his daily life. After several near-death experiences, Kimihiko met Siesta, a detective, in the unlikeliest of circumstances. Through that acquaintance, he stuck with her and found himself solving troubles, instead of finding them. That is, however, only until Siesta leaves—which causes his past to haunt him, making it difficult for Kimihiko to find his footing, and continue a life he once had with her. Premieres Oct 12
Spooky Kitaro 6
As its name suggests, this anime is in its sixth instalment. For the unacquainted, Spooky Kitaro is about a protagonist, Kitaro, who is the last descendant of a ghost tribe, and his desire of uniting the human world with the spiritual realm (or yokai, for that matter). This season, unlike previous ones, sees Kitaro joined by a curious girl named Mana as she grows eager to make sense of this entire phenomenon. Premieres Oct 22
Spooky Kitaro 6
My Senpai is Annoying
Stepping away from supernatural and unexplainable events, we look at My Senpai is Annoying. The premise revolves around Futuba Igarashi, a hardworking plain Jane, and her budding romance with a true gentleman, Harumi Takeda, who is also her superior at work. Nothing spooky here, just a rom com-like love story about a couple juggling life together. Premieres Oct 10
Lupin the 3rd Part 6
Speaking of gentlemen, here we have the gentleman thief and the master of disguise in Lupin the 3rd Part 6. In this season, Lupin continues what he’s good at as he goes head-to-head with renowned detective Sherlock Holmes after being accused of murder. While trying to prove his own innocence, Lupin finds himself attracted to a piece of treasure that seems to bring chaos to the British government. Premieres Oct 17
