October is set to be a month full of film festivals with the likes of the Israel and Perspectives Film Festivals happening. Now, there’s a new film festival on the scene and it celebrates the failures of cinema.
Starting Oct 17, the Fail Film Festival is screening the so-bad-it’s-good Sharknado trilogy, about shark attacks in the city of Los Angeles, over two weekends. While there are only three screenings at the film fest, Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One and the Singapore premier of Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, the organizers have stated that these films are meant to be “really enjoyable”, despite bad ratings. All films will be screened at indie cinema, The Projector.
While we think a single trilogy does not a film festival make, we’re hoping it’s the beginning of a recurring thing. We’d like to see some Jim Carey flops, for example. Cable Guy!
Ticket prices haven’t been released but you can get them starting Oct 1. For more details, head to the website here.
