Behind the Attraction
If you’ve always wondered what went into building each castle, ride and attraction at Disneyland parks, then mark your calendars for the premiere of Behind the Attraction. Coming to Disney+ on Jul 16, the series celebrates the anniversary of the Disney feature film Jungle Cruise, inspired by the attraction that debuted at Disneyland in 1955.
So through 10 episodes narrated by Paget Brewster, viewers are given an exclusive peek behind the most famous attractions in the world including Haunted Mansion and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Revealed for the very first time are stories of how the Haunted Mansion was filled with 999 happy haunts, as well as why Space Mountain took so long to launch.
Gossip Girl
It’s no secret that a new Gossip Girl series is about to launch, and now we’ve got a release date to look forward to. So see if this reboot will live up to your expectations as a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to social surveillance, nine years after the original blogger’s website went dark.
The series will star Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak and Savannah Lee Smith.
Heist
Not to be confused with Money Heist, this new docuseries dropping on Jul 14 chronicles three of the biggest heists in modern American history—as explained by the people who pulled them off, no less.
There’s the 21-year-old woman who steals millions in Vegas casino cash, a Kentucky dad accused of one of the biggest bourbon burglaries in history and even an aspiring dad who gains a fortune from the Miami airport. Just see how it all went down in this Ocean’s Eleven-like programme.
My Unorthodox Life
A new reality TV series is coming for Too Hot to Handle Season 2’s crown this July. Named My Unorthodox Life, the upcoming show will revolve around Julia Haart, a former member of an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community, plus her adult children. This Elite World Group CEO is about to divulge her life secrets in this binge-worthy series, so grab the popcorn.
The Good, The Bart, and The Loki
Fans of Disney+’s Loki can also catch a new Marvel-themed short from The Simpsons this month. In this crossover animated film, Loki is banished from Asgard (again) and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield’s mightiest heroes. So see the God of Mischief team team up with the like-minded Bart Simpson in this show that pays tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And not to worry, Tom Hiddleston will return as the voice of Loki alongside fan-favourite Simpsons characters.
The Good, The Bart, and The Loki is the second in a series of Disney+ shorts from The Simpsons which features crossover events. The previously released Star Wars-themed short Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens from Its Nap is now streaming on the platform too.
