The Day of the Dead is looming near and bloodthirsty souls are on a rampage, raising from their graves come Oct 27—your only hope is to make peace offerings through prayers as you seek refuge 63 floors above ground at 1-Altitude. Join fellow revelers in stopping the undead from rising or suffer a merciless fate in their bony grasp (you’ve been warned). Bang Bang

It wasn’t too long ago (or maybe it has been awhile) when virtual reality game characters like Mario, Luigi and Pikachu made up our entire world. If you’re looking to delve straight back into the iconic and nostalgic ‘80s virtual reality craze, you gotta check out Bang Bang’s reinvention of fright night on Oct 27. Make sure you come dressed in theme, in order to win tokens and have a go at the claw machine where precious tamagotchis, Grey Goose drinks and even Sephora makeovers/gift bags can be won. Bar Rouge

Take your Halloween celebrations to new heights at Bar Rouge—the uber trendy, shanghai-inspired club perched on the 71st floor of Swissotel The Stamford. From Oct 26-27, come dressed in your own interpretation of the theme “In The Woods” to gain free entry and stand a chance to win best dressed prizes. A quick Google search on the theme seems to yield results about a mystery novel surrounding two Irish detectives investigating the murder of a twelve-year-old girl, but make what you will of it. This famed rooftop bar is back once again with their acclaimed Cirque Le Soir for the ultimate fa-boo-lous Halloween experience. Returning for its fourth consecutive year on Oct 27, expect some seriously outrageous acts like fire breathers, exotic dancers and eccentric contortionists. It’s a don’t-try-this-at-home adult playground, essentially. At $48 per person including a premium pour, creep into the fantasy realm of a S&M dungeon with your best latex costume (time to bust out the baby powder) and you might just walk away with a whole bottle of Grey Goose. The following ladies night on Oct 31 will also see the restaurant transformed into a neon-fest for you to live a candy raver’s dream—think kandi beads, vivid paints and glowing headbands. Hard Rock Cafe 
Party stalwarts Hard Rock Cafe is turning up the fun and fear factor with Dead Stars Rising, The Ultimate Halloween Party on Oct 26 from 9pm till late. Jive Talkin will be stirring their cauldron with hits by Prince, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin and giving you a concoction of old school pop. Dress your best and win up to $1000 worth of prizes. You gotta have some guts to enter Lavo’s Saturday Soiree: Scare Factory this halloween on Oct 27 from 10pm till late. We’re not sure we’d want to see Samara, blood gushing out of an elevator, or a creepy 180 degree head turn as they bring iconic characters from The Exorcist, The Shining, The Ring etc. to the party. Lulu’s Lounge

Burlesque dancers and drag queens are abound this Halloween at Lulu’s Lounge, our favourite nightspot for a sensual yet so very bizarre experience. Purchase your tickets ($30) to get front row seats to the most sickening freak show of the year on Oct 27—the Carnival of the Absurd. It’s a night of true madness and surprises at this New York-inspired cocktail bar as you party with hypnotic magicians and freaky clown dolls through the night. 7 Raffles Blvd.

We got our PacMan and tamagotchis over at Bang Bang, but here at this new retro arcade-themed bar, they’re holding their first Halloween party on Oct 27 based off ‘80s horror films. The White Rabbit

If Revenge of the Mummy so happens to be your favourite Universal Studios ride, perhaps you’d like to get wrapped in The White Rabbit’s annual halloween party, Jewel of d’Nile, this Oct 27. For their 10th anniversary, they’re serving up some ethereal Egyptian realness—come into contact with sultry sphinxes, valiant temple raiders and formidable pharaohs (come at us, Anck-Su-Namun). No doubt one of the biggest Halloween parties in Singapore, Zouk is bringing killin’ it on the dance floor to a whole new level with resident DJs Zushan, Hong and Jeremy Boon on Oct 27. At $55 for non-members, you’re transported back to the late ’70s in Boogie Wonderland, where disco was all the rage. Watch out for the dance-obsessed “Discopath” though—he’s been haunting the town for years, held responsible for missing partygoers and leaving behind dismembered body parts. Our advice?
