Singapore’s new therapy center lets people pet adorable purebred cats

We have mixed feelings about the island’s handful of cat cafes, but we think we can get behind Cats’ Safari in town. Channel News Asia recently did a story on the Sunny Heights day care center that brings comfort to those with special needs through the company of kitties.

The therapy center was founded by Derrick Tan, of animal welfare group Voices For Animals (VFA), which rehomes dogs and cats previously used for breeding.

Tan wants the safari to be a safe space for both people and animals and hopes to encourage responsible pet ownership, too. Everyone else is still welcome to make their way there on Saturdays and Sundays, from 1-7pm. Priority will be given, however, to those with special needs. Admission is $5
