Orchard Road will boast a sky-high observation deck of its own with the opening of ION Orchard’s ION Sky. Located on the 55-56 floors of the The Orchard Residences above the mall, ION Sky will house an observation deck, an event space as well as urban-themed restaurant Salt grill featuring highly acclaimed Australian chef Luke Mangan who specializes contemporary Australian cuisine. The observation deck will be open to the public via ticketed entry from January 2011.
As part of the mall’s 1st anniversary celebrations, a open-air fashion concert at the mall’s outdoor space featuring Taiwanses-American singer Van Ness Wu as well as an art exhibition, Iconic Moments: ION Orchard’s First Year, charting the journey of Singapore‟s favourite shopping destination from conception through the milestones in its first year at its art gallery through Oct 31.
