Jurong Bird Park launches its first digital GPS game trail in conjunction with its Golden Jubilee

Singapore’s beloved Jurong Bird Park is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and you too, can be a part of the fun.

In light of its Golden Jubilee, the largest bird park in Asia will be rolling out a series of fun, family-friendly activities, including the attraction’s first-ever digital GPS game trail. Named the Wildlife Quest with Detective Blue, the new experience will be offered every weekend, on public holidays and during the school holidays from Mar 6-Jun 27.

Developed in collaboration with marketing agency Crooner and award-winning Japan-based digital production agency AID-DCC, Wildlife Quest with Detective Blue is available as an add-on option for $10 when visitors purchase admission tickets online.

Simply access the game on your mobile device and begin the quest at the park’s Penguin Coast with your special Detective Blue sun visor.

By embarking on the digital quest, you’ll be joining the blue-throated macaw Detective Blue in his adventures as he learns more about his fellow feathered friends. Along the way, you’ll get to visit iconic exhibits like the Flamingo Pool and Wings of Asia to answer quiz questions and complete special tasks.

To unlock the rewards which includes an exclusive keychain and explorer badge, you’ll have to complete all location-based challenges that will have you learning facts such as the amazing adaptations of birds while meeting real-life counterparts of the game characters such as the Philippine eagle and Blue-throated macaw.

The first 250 participants to complete Detective Blue’s Quest between Mar 6-21 will also be invited to an exclusive “Hello from the Wild Side” session on Mar 27. This is a live video call wherein viewers will meet more of Detective Blue’s bird friends like Quincy, a double yellow-headed amazon, and a pair of toco toucans.

Finally, once you’re done with the online adventure, head down to the Feathers Gift Shop to find an array of merchandise featuring Detective Blue and friends, or even pop by the new Social Kitchen powered by The Vegetarian Butcher for delectable meals.

Either way, the Wildlife Quest with Detective Blue offers some good-natured fun, perfect for family, friends and couples alike.
