Amazon Prime Video is now live in Singapore

Ever since it was announced that Amazon was coming to our part of the world, we knew it was only a matter of time before the web streaming service joined the ever growing ranks of streaming services here.

Following in the footsteps of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video has launched globally in 200 territories, including Singapore. Also like Netflix, TV series and movies available vary by country. How limited the local catalogue is remains to be seen. But hot original favourites like The Grand Tour featuring your TopGear favourites Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond, as well as The Man in the High Castle and the award-winning Transparent will be available.

Want to check the service out for yourself? You can sign up for a free 7-day trial. If you like it, stay and subscribe for US$2.99 (S$4.26) a month for the first six months, after which the subscription price will bounce back to the usual US$5.99 (S$8.53).

Looks like that’s your weekend, and forever, sorted. Good luck getting out of your house.
