Uber has been in the news a lot lately, what with their UberSleigh initiative which allowed us to do some good without leaving the house this festive season, a collab with a local dog shelter that saw cute puppies being delivered for a good cause, and most recently, that Star Wars partnership that gave some lucky riders the chance to catch Rogue One: A Star Wars Story before everyone else. Now, their food delivery service UberEats is extending their reach to more heartlands; probably one of their biggest moves to date.
The last time they expanded, they made their way to the eastern heartland of Tampines, which was launched as an independent cluster with its own infrastructure to fulfill the demands of the neighborhood. This round sees the inclusion of Serangoon North, Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Novena, Toa Payoh, Clement and Bukit Batok. For these clusters of neighborhood, each pair will see an iconic establishment of the vicinity on the menu, for example, Creamier will be delivering their ice-creams and more to the residents in Novena and Toa Payoh; Crave, known for their tasty nasi lemak will be available for the north-east residents of Hougang and Serangoon; Ang Mo Kio and Bishan residents will be familiar with Decafesg’s all-day meals; and mouthwatering beef dishes by O’Boeuf a 6 Pattes for the people living in Clementi and Bedok. Of course, these are just some of the local favorites that’ll be coming your way.
If you’ve not yet jumped on the bandwagon, good news: you can get $10 off your first meal by using the promo code “SGBIGBITE” (expires Jan 31).
