This weekend, celebrate your love for rum at Rum Bellion 2019, held along block party lane Keong Saik Road, and rose wines at Rose Revolution, to be found at the recently reopened The Alkaff Mansion. Also keep things wholesome by commemorating the birthday of one of our nation’s oldest museums, or spar with your friends over games at the Asian Board Games Festival 2019. And don’t forget to channel your inner rap god at Marquee too, as American rapper A$AP Ferg will be dishing out some of his greatest hits for one special evening.

A concert organised in support of the Singapore Bicentennial, Heirlooms - Reimagining the Sounds of our Chinese Forefathers will be held at the Esplanade, with a premiere of a repertoire of eight commissioned works featuring instruments found only in folk ensembles. Singapore’s first rum festival will arrive at Keong Saik Road this month, in the form of a block party. Rum Bellion 2019 is initiated by Keong Saik joint Neon Pigeon, alongside neighbours Taki Taki, Limehouse and Bula Cafe & Bar, so expect these spaces to be taken over by rum brands with the likes of Diplomatico, Plantation, Sailor Jerry and more for a whole day of activities. Oct 13
