Get ready to meet some of the biggest names in the J-pop, Vtuber, and anisong scenes, because Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2024 (AFA) – the region’s most epic anime, cosplay, and games event – is back from Nov 29 to Dec 1 at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre. Here’s what you can expect over the three days.
Concerts featuring over 20 artistes: Enjoy AFA x Japan Music Festival on Friday, AFA x hololive Meet on Saturday, and AFA x I Love Anisong on Sunday. There will be a special AFA x hololive Meet Panel Session featuring Fuwamoco and Ouro Kronii from hololive English, and Kaela Kovalskia from hololive Indonesia.
Live talk shows and special booths: The ever-popular Day Stage will host highly-anticipated live talk shows and special events. Meet fan-favourite rogue demon slayer, Shoto and his comrade Unnamed, and catch Oshi no Ko’s voice actors Takeo Otsuka and Yurie Igoma (who play twin characters Aqua and Ruby) together with show producer Shimpei Yamashita – just to name a few.
Meet & Greet sessions: Get up close with your favourite artistes at exclusive ticketed Meet & Greets. Join sessions featuring Sally Amaki, Takeo Ostuka and Yurie Igoma, Yusuke Kobayashi, and Shoto and Yuya. Fans will get the chance to join in Q&A sessions, group photos, autograph opportunities and more.
New areas and experiences: Awaken your inner gamer and visit the brand-new area GameOn. Here, discover what’s new with current and upcoming gaming titles, including CookieRun: Braveverse, Neopets, Infinity Nikki, Madness Arena, Ultraman Card Game, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and more.
Creators Hub/Cosplay Hub: At the always-popular and highly competitive Creators Hub, there will be a curated selection of more than 120 creators from 21 countries, while the Cosplay Hub will showcase close to 40 of the region’s premier cosplayers where fans have the opportunity to interact with them at their booths.
Exclusive merchandise: Wallets at the ready, because there will be a selection of concert tees, acrylic keychains and more, including limited-edition merchandise from AFA x Japan Music Festival and AFA xI Love Anisong. You can also get your hands on the merchandise at the AFA Shop here.
Akiba Town exhibition hall: The hall will be filled with interactive booths, merchandise and activities. Grab art pieces from GalleryPanda, check out the Yu-Gi-Oh Official Card Game (now available in English), and visit the exclusive Solo Levelling experience dome.
Crunchyrol, the anime-focused streaming platform, will also be participating in AFA Singapore 2024, along with Bushiroad Expo Asia within the festival. The latter features BanG Dream! It’s MyGO!!!!!, merchandise sales, a BanG Dream! stage costume display, TCG (trading card game) card displays, TCG demos, and console game demo.
