Art exhibitions are great, but art parties are even better

If you love art (but have had your fill of interpreting abstract art pieces), check out these upcoming art parties where you can meet artists, chat with other art lovers and even try your hand at some art yourself.

Art Loft: 49 Going on 50

We interviewed the founders of Loft about their contemporary art platform, and there is lots more you can expect from them over the next few weeks. The platform will be holding its second pop-up event from 28 August to 4 September, featuring several talented local artists (who we suspect you’ll be seeing much more of in future). As for the event line-up, you can look forward to a live canvas painting, artist dialogue sessions and a screen-printing workshop.

Art Social Haus: I.N.K. (It’s Not Kink)

Newly founded co-working art space Art Social Haus might just be the coolest kid in town. Besides being open 24/7(yes, there’s now a place for artistic geniuses to get their creative juices on at 3am), they’ll be holding a tattoo art exhibition on 26 September, after which 2 educational and hands on tattoo workshops will be held on the first 2 Saturdays of October. Lessons on the history and culture of tattoo art are also included, giving you that little bit of background info you need to impress your friends.
